Learn to Crochet Class

Join us in person to learn how to crochet

You will learn basic flat crochet stitches, how to read a crochet pattern, how to understand gauge, and make this cute phone case!

Class will be held in-person at KnitWit on Danforth St. in Portland, Maine.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

• How to Crochet book
• Worsted weight cotton yarn such as Whimbrel or Pima 100
• Crochet hook - size US 7 (4.5mm) or US H/8 (5.0mm)
• darning/tapestry needle
  
• measuring tape or ruler
• snips or scissors
• Free pattern for Petek Phonecase available on Ravelry

TECHNIQUES WE’LL LEARN:

• single crochet stitch
• turning chains
• foundation chains
• half double crochet stitch
• double crochet stitch
• treble crochet stitch
• reading a pattern
• understanding gauge
