90% superwash wool / 10% silk

This yarn was hand-dyed in an indigo vat. When fibers are dyed with natural indigo, there is a process called "crocking" where some of the small indigo molecules get sloughed off after the dye is set. This will cause your fingers or needles to become blue when you work with it. It will wash right off. Once you give your finished product a good soapy bath, the product will be colorfast from then on.
