Learn the basics of crocheting with resident crochet lady Emily! In this class we will be making a scarf or cowl depending on your personal preference and will be learning foundational techniques for your crochet practice. Nothing too intense! Just the basics to get you going :)

Supplies Needed
- Aran or bulky weight yarn
- For Aran weight yarn, a 6.5mm crochet hook; for bulky weight yarn, a 9mm crochet hook
- Darning needle
- Measuring tape or ruler
- Scissors or snips
Techniques Learned
- How to wind yarn
- Basic abbreviations
- Stitch anatomy (legs, “v”, front loop, back loop, posts)
- Chain stitch
- Double crochet
- Finishing
- Mattress stitch (to sew together ends in cowl version)
- How to weave in ends
Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Students are welcome to shop 30 minutes prior to class start time and will receive a 10% discount on class supplies.
