Mabel KAL
Our friends at CocoKnits are hosting a knit along ("KAL") this winter and KnitWit Yarn Shop is joining in. We are going to be knitting the Mabel Sweater by Julie Weisenberger, but you can knit any of her sweaters that you'd like.
If you sign up with us, you'll receive a code for a free Ravelry download of the CocoKnits Sweater of your choice, with purchase.
In addition, CocoKnits will be sending out automated emails to anyone who would like them. And Julie will be holding two live Zoom calls for anyone participating.
Finally, CocoKnits will be offering prizes!
They are calling this their Everlasting KAL (no end date!) You can find more information on their official website.
These CocoKnits sweaters do require that you have a copy of the CocoKnits Sweater Workshop book. Because this is such a unique method of making sweaters, the patterns refer back to sections of the book.
To sign up with us make a purchase either online or in the shop, and let us know that you'd like to join the KAL. We'll then email you the code to get your free pattern and other details. I'd suggest you grab a copy of the CocoKnits Sweater Workshop or your yarn to make the sweater. I'll be using Berwick Bulky, but Woolfolk Luft is another great choice! Any yarn that gets you 3 stitches to the inch works for Mabel.
Mabel also has extra instructions for a turtle neck version, a side slit, or a striped version. You'll likely need an extra skein of yarn if you want to add length or make the turtle neck version.
