Why I Crocheted One Round Every Day

I just finished my 2024 temperature blanket and I had to share it with you!

Each day of last year, I crocheted one round using the high temperature as my color guide. The result is a beautiful, rainbow-like spiral of days, memories, and changing weather, made entirely in soft, breathable cotton.

I used a mix of Quince & Co. Whimbrel and Berroco Pima 100, both 100% cotton yarns with a gorgeous drape and crisp stitch definition. They held up beautifully over a year of crocheting and feel amazing in the finished blanket.

The pattern I followed is Linen Square Temperature Blanket by Toni Lipsey, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you're tracking the year or just looking for a stunning cotton project, it’s a joy to make.
