Summer Market Bag

Summer Market Bag

Summer Market Bag

I finished this market bag recently, and I don't think it's going to spend much time sitting at home. I'm already planning to take it to the farmers market, the beach, and of course, the yarn shop. It was a quick project, and I had so much fun watching it come together.

The yarn that made this bag is Ra-Ra Raffia from Wool and the Gang. It's made from biodegradable wood fiber, so it's vegan, incredibly lightweight, water repellent, and dries quickly if it gets splashed. It's exactly the kind of yarn that makes sense for summer projects you'll actually carry and use.

I used the Paper Gangsta Market Bag pattern from the Raffia Crochet book. If you'd rather choose your own adventure, there are plenty of market bag patterns on Ravelry that pair beautifully with this yarn.

Sometimes the most satisfying projects are the ones you finish quickly and start using right away. This one has already earned a spot by the front door, ready for whatever summer brings next.
