New Yarn Alert: Inspired by Maine, Only at KnitWit

We’re so excited to introduce two shop-exclusive yarns—Bug Light and Doubling Point Light—both hand-dyed in Maine just for us by Snallygaster Fibers.

These yarns are named after iconic Maine lighthouses, and the colorways take their cues from the parks, treasures, and landmarks our customers know and love.

🧶 Bug Light
Named after the Portland Breakwater Light, this fingering-weight blend of 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon is soft enough for shawls and cowls, yet sturdy enough for socks. With 460 yards per skein, it’s ideal for one-skein projects and colorwork alike.

🧶 Doubling Point Light
Inspired by the Doubling Point Lighthouse on the Kennebec River, this 100% superwash merino yarn is a heavy DK/light worsted with a beautifully round structure and excellent stitch definition. 231 yards per skein—perfect for textured knits and cozy accessories.

Both yarns are dyed in exclusive colorways you’ll only find at KnitWit Yarn Shop.
