Balsam

Balsam

Balsam
Balsam, from Pam Allen, is a snuggly, hooded cowl, with a deep brioche split hem to go deeper than can your average neckwear. Two brioche panels are worked flat and joined in the round for a cowl deep enough for stretching over your head. A few short rows near the top of the cowl form the shape of the hood.
It's knit in Quince and Co. Owl, a squishy, lofty, and plump yarn made from a blend of American wool and alpaca. It's spun and dyed right here in New England.
The pattern calls for 5 skeins of Owl.
